Wow, now that I am inquiring, getting comics graded comes at quite a cost.
The per unit cost goes down with volume. Since I'm probably going to be only doing a few books, that translates to a high per unit cost. HOWEVER, I was able to work a deal with CBCS, which is a mile or so from my house. One of the big costs to getting comics graded is the shipping back and forth.
Since they are local, I can just drive over, drop them off, have them witness my signature, and then pick them up six weeks later when they are graded. That's a big savings.
I ended up with a quoted costs for $59 to you the consumer for this service. I understand if that is too high for some of you. The comics grading game punishes the little guy. I may be able to work out some convention deals in the future to lower the cost.

I have been asked if these comics might be professionally graded for a fee. I aim to make my customers happy.
Consequently, on Monday, I will visit my local CGC dealer and ask about the process and associated costs. I will them make that an available add-on in Backer Kit and send out the surveys to everyone.
